The Four Thresholds
The work is made on four original doors of an old wardrobe, transformed into painted doors: symbolic thresholds opening onto a feminine and visionary bestiary. Each panel is inhabited by an anthropomorphic hen embodying a different quality: curious desire, watchful strength, silent transgression and generative wisdom. The henhouse, a recurring element in the artist's research, is understood as a matriarchal and resilient microcosm — a space of care, waiting and transformation in which possibilities are kept and brooded. In the installation the panels are suspended in space, with their raw backs facing the viewer. The doors thus become thresholds that reveal what normally remains hidden, inviting us to cross a boundary between reality and imagination, between what is visible and what keeps germinating in the shadows.
