This Is a Vegetable Garden!

  • Installation
  • 120 ceramic vessels
  • 400 × 210 × 20 cm

This Is a Vegetable Garden! stems from the desire to build a space of care, growth and transformation. Through daily studio practice and the repetition of the gesture at the wheel, the artist has made a series of vessels that are all different, marked by attempts, adjustments, mistakes and renewed efforts. Over time these forms accumulated until they formed a "garden" of 120 elements: a whole in which nothing is discarded and each presence acquires meaning in its relationship with the others. As in an ecosystem, the diversity of forms and imperfections becomes a resource rather than a flaw. Each vessel is a container of possibility. It can hold soil, seeds, roots or other forms of growth, yet it also preserves in its own matter the traces of the gesture that generated it. The work offers a reflection on growth as a non-linear process, in which every form — successful or imperfect — contributes to the construction of a shared landscape.
